Lola Tate When Lola was six years old she decided she wanted to be a rockstar when she grew up and at seven she decided she wanted to be a writer. She was raised in Leeds and by her eighteenth birthday had seen over five hundred bands and went to her first after-show party aged fourteen ‘by accident’. While studying music at Goldsmiths College, Lola sang and worked bar at Brixton Academy, eventually being allowed to work the hallowed VIP bar. After College she worked as a publicist for a leading London publisher and continued going to gigs, eventually realising through watching her authors talk about writing and watching bands play their hearts out, that she’d got it right aged six and seven.
